Pass Plus

 

What is Pass Plus?

Pass Plus is a scheme that was introduced by the Driving Standards Agency in connection with most of the UK's leading insurance companies. The aim is to offer new drivers further training delivered and assessed by your driving instructor, to you improve your driving skills and also receive a discount of up to 30% on your insurance policy. This course is not a test. The course will be covered over a minimum of 6 one hour lessons, and covers the following topics:

- driving in town
- driving in all weathers
- driving on rural roads
- driving at night
- driving on dual carriageways
- driving on motorways

When your instructor is happy that you have reached the required level you will receive a certificate from the DSA which you can use to receive a discount on your insurance.

The course not only helps with the cost of your insurance but considerably helps your driving confidence and skill, giving you tips and assistance that would usually take years to learn. In many cases the discount saved on your insurance far out weighs the cost of the course.

Pass Plus can only be taken within the first year of passing your driving test.
